Abstract

This article deals with the legitimacy of children and teenagers participation in therapeutic and non-therapeutic clinical trials. This issue is examined in the light of civil-constitutional law, mainly with the focus of the Best Interest of the Child and Teenager principle in order to conciliate the protection of their psychophysical integrity and self-determination with the need of scientific progress and social solidarity.
